My name is Rahul and I'm 35 years old settled in Mumbai, have been bought up in Kolkata for almost the initial formative years and then have ever since been in Mumbai. I was always the youngest in my family and have been pampered especially by my mother which was in a way good as well as bad, I was pampered to an extent where I feel not being exposed to taking up responsibility left me as fish without water not knowing what to do, being exposed to the realities of life was the most hard hitting since I feel I wasn’t equipped to handle it being always sheltered and protected………. But I have grown up over the years in each phase that I encountered and have truly learnt and looked at it as a good learning experience, have had a lot of ups and down in my personal relationships as was always termed as “immature” and then the most hard hitting the financial crises. Coming from a business family there was never a dearth of anything however when things changed there was a point with just basic graduation there was no place that would hire me ……… I have come a long way since can truly say I have matured and am still on the path to achieve financial stability but nevertheless I treasure my learning in life more than ever as they have truly been my asset that’s for keeps.

Being a counselor came to me naturally as I realized what I couldn’t avail of during my trying times somewhere being there for someone else I could be of help to them. However it was more than giving solutions it was somewhere a need to just listen to the other person and not give lame advice, that’s where my interest developed to formally understand counseling, and possibly give back to society and maybe make a small little difference in someone’s life.
